Come visit our in-house bakery featuring a full range of artisanal hearth-baked breads, from rich and buttery brioche dinner rolls to crusty naturally leavened sourdough. Our sourdough culture was started on the farm using organic heritage wheat and wild yeasts found right here in our fields. Our baguettes which are baked throughout the day to ensure that you always are able to purchase the very best freshly baked organic bread for your family table.
In addition to our artisanal bread offerings, we offer seasonal organic cakes, pies, cookies, breakfast pastries, and many other treats. Our signature cakes are available in sizes ranging from baby’s first smash cake to half sheet graduation cake. All our buttercreams, custards, and other cake and pie fillings are made with organic ingredients using our Profeta Farms eggs and dairy products. Our menu also is subject to frequent changes based on what produce is in season and at peak ripeness, so stop in often to see what’s new in the Profeta Farms Bakery.
Meet Katie Gaffney
Katie Gaffney, a Boston native, has left behind her city roots in search of the best organic produce available. She started her career working in one of the best restaurants in Boston before attending the Culinary Institute of America where she honed in her skills as a pastry chef. After culinary school Katie went west to Napa, California to work for acclaimed chef Thomas Keller at Bouchon Bakery. Under the guide of Master Baker Matt Mcdonald she perfected the skill of artisan hearth breads and found her love of macarons. However, Katie missed the changing of the seasons and moved back east with her husband to reconnect with her family who had relocated to Easton, Pennsylvania. Katie was hired by the Sands casino in Bethlehem as the executive pastry chef overseeing the bread and pastry menu of four busy restaurants, but the lack of quality fresh local ingredients was disheartening to her and when the chance to work at Profeta Farms arose she jumped at the opportunity.
